Welcome everyone!

Anyone who knows me knows I love books... and seriously, I love them. So I decided to blend my two passions; reading and writing! Because who doesn't want my extensive opinion on the obscene amount of books I read?? My wonderful husband! That is who. Since he deserves a break from my endless rambling about the latest book I am reading, I am taking it to the internet! You. Are. Welcome. :)

Home: Welcome

Happy 2026! It is incredible that a new year is here already, and it is going to be amazing— trust me I can tell. Because it has been a bit since I have written here, I thought I would give you all an update on where I have been, what projects I have been working on, and what is in store for 2026.

Even though I took some time off from the website, I have still been writing. Son of Steel finally debuted, as well as the first book in a new series titled Among the Forgotten. My projects in process now total at three: the final book in the Stone Trilogy, Child of Shadows, the second book in my Tesindren Chronicle series, title yet to be announced, and finally a standalone historical romance with layers of fantasy, title also yet to be announced! (But I can tell you this one is based in Ancient Rome!) All three have been so much fun to work on that I have been bouncing around, but I can confirm my next release to be scheduled will be Child of Shadows!

My personal life has been wiiiiillllld! After suffering a heartbreaking loss two weeks before Son of Steel launched, (another reason I took some time away) we were blessed with a beautiful daughter named Aurelia, and we now have another on the way! Baby Molt #2 is April of this year! In addition to starting our growing family, I decided that was the best time(???) to finish up my degree, so I went back to school and finally graduated college. Hurrah!! Around that same time, my husband’s company opened up an office in Wyoming and we decided to jump on the opportunity for a new adventure for our trio. So just six months after Aurelia was born and one month after graduation we sold our house and struck out for the wild west of Wyoming! It has been a constant adventure, as I have never lived anywhere other than Kearney— but it has been so amazing! We are a short drive from some of the most beautiful places in the world and have been busy crossing off visiting places already, like our summer trip to the Grand Teton’s.

While exploring our new town and getting to know wonderful people, I have been brainstorming at how to bring best back this website in a way that won’t sacrifice my family time, as my family is about to become a quartet! So all I ask is that you hang in there if things get a little off kilter as I figure out how to balance it all. My plan is this— to post monthly my latest read as I check off books that have been sitting far too long on my TBR. I will post the first Thursday of every month, and additionally if I manage to squeeze any side reads in! I have some amazing books that I am super excited to finally dig into, as well as some LARGE series reads (I am looking at you Brandon Sanderson) that I have started before and need a reread before diving into the latest release.

I would love to hear any requests you have as well as what you thought, if you have read the book of that month! In addition to the review, I will also each month be announcing the next month’s upcoming read, in case you want to read along with me.

With that in mind, the first book of this new year is one I have been wanting to read for years! February’s read will be The Shining by Stephen King! I am excited to check this prolific book out and to see what the year will bring…

So friends, pull up a chair and let’s find your next favorite story!
